August 26th, 2005 – TGIF

We headed out on more errands on Friday trying to get settled in. First stop cell phone shopping, where Laure was almost given a job on the spot by an antsy secretary. We circulated some of our CV’s and sent some e-mails. I didn’t get very far with a technical recruitment agency and decided that maybe another year of QA wouldn’t be such a bad idea. After wandering around George Street we finally made it to the base of the Sydney Opera House next to Circular Quay. I must admit that now that we were considering Ultimo, the Rocks was starting to grow on me a little with all of its quaint nooks and charm. We treated ourselves to a take out Chinese dinner with an expensive coke and went to bed early. Our house in the rocks is just around the corner on the left from this angle practically underneath the bridge.
