October 27th, 2005 – Round About

We have now officially flip-flopped all of our travel plans. Due to some unforseen circumstances with our friend in Thailand, who will be unable to host us in December, we have decided to travel through Thailand at the end of our trip. Although it’s proving to be a lot of work setting a new itinerary, we are very excited to be heading up the East coast of Australia and then passing through New Zealand before returning to Melbourne for our second work term. The plan is to try and meet up with some cousins of mine in Brisbane who are visiting from Canada, Jeff and Jane, then travel up the coast towards Cairns before flying out of Cairns to Auckland and then hiring a car to travel from the North Island to the South Island and flying out of Christchurch to Melbourne. The whole adventure will start at the beginning of December and end on the 15th of January 2006.
